Journey so far

Graduated  in  the Uday Shankar technique of New Dance from “Ananda Shankar Centre  For Performing Arts”, securing distinction in the year 1995.

A four year diploma holder in Kathak and one year diplomas in Bharatnatyam, Manipuri, Rabindra Geeti Nritya and Indian Folk dance from Sangeet Kala Kendra, Kolkata, India.

Had the unique opportunity to study the introductory level technique training, choreological and repertory studies in Graham Technique at the reputed Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance, New York USA.

Attended the following workshops :

  • Elementary level Graham technique by Jacqulyn Buglisi – Senior Faculty of Alvin Ailey American Dance Center and Artistic Director of Buglisi Foreman Dance Company.
  • Elementary level Horton technique by Andre Tyson, professional Company member of Alvin Ailey American dance Company.
  • Elementary level Limoh technique by Janet kaylo, faculty at the Laban Centre, London, UK.
  • Elementary level Cunningham Technique by Margaret Jenkins, Artistic Director of the Margaret Jenkins Dance company, USA.
  • Elementary level Kalaripayattu, a martial arts technique by Ranjan Mullarrat.
  • Elementary level Afro – American and Contemporary technique by Akosua Boakya, reputed choreographer/teacher from London, UK.
